Nature Walk

My husband and I found another place that was really nice for a nature walk. We have been to a different section of the river - but we found another one we hadn't been to before.

We saw a group of kids (I think a college group) doing some kayaking too. There might be some good spots for fishing too.

Do you like nature walks?

The Appomattox River is a popular destination for whitewater rafting, canoeing, fishing and bird watching. It flows from Lake Chesdin through the region and joins the James River at Hopewell, where the two rivers once served as the pathway for early English settlers into Virginia, and became the largest port in the nation during the Civil War.
