Polar Vortex delayed schools for 2 days a couple of weeks ago. Which I'm still trying to figure out. going to school 2 hours later, it was still freezing. Why bother with a delay?
Last night they called and cancelled school for today. It wasn't even snowing yet, and still as of now hasn't even started yet. And now may not even start until 4 pm. And they were supposed to get out by noon anyway today, because they have exams this week.
It's crazy! Oh well - it's just different then I'm used to growing up in Massachusetts & New Hampshire.
Anyway, might as well jump on the bandwagon. We got some flurries last week and I took some Vines. It was a big deal around here! lol - if it snows later I'll get some pictures of that - lol

Melting here with another heatwave. Would love to see snow.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. We are supposed to be getting another foot here tonite in MA.
ReplyDeleteI'm in western MA and we're getting 3-6 inches or so. I think the bulk will be heading to eastern MA. We're leaving for Florida on Friday and I CAN'T WAIT.
ReplyDeleteWow - I'm sure the kids are celebrating!
ReplyDeleteHave to check in with my Mom as she was expecting snow!
Enjoy your WW!

Same for over here in MD! No snow until around 12:30pm and they had a 2 hr early release. They canceled school last night when the boys could've gone just fine today. Last week, when there was ice, they didn't cancel and had parents in an uproar. I think these guys have no idea what they're doing. lol at least it snowed, right?
ReplyDeleteya, they seem paranoid about the snow. lol
DeleteLOL - You are right, it is an entirely different mentality from here in NH. If we canceled school every time snow was forecast we wouldn't ever educate our kids. Enjoy your flurries! Did they ever accumulate to much?
ReplyDeletewe got about 3+ inches overnight. No school today :)
DeleteI love the snow!! It never snows here in Singapore..

Snow flurries sure are pretty! We don't have a lot of snow because out west we are in the middle of a major drought. But everything is frozen and covered with frost here. Have a terrific day!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty cold.. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Wordless Wednesday! My entry is here .
