I know tomorrow is Thanksgiving, but we already made a gingerbread house early.
That's because my daughter wanted to make this one last year, but by the time I went to buy it they ran out. So I got one early this year.
My #1 tip for you is to glue the house together. After years of making gingerbread houses and have them usually collapse - we figured out to glue them, instead of using the frosting to hold them together. Unless you plan on eating it - which I never do anyway.
Let dry at least 1 hr :
My daughter did all the decorating herself:

Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

ReplyDeleteCute and beautiful. Your daughter is very creative! Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves Hello Kitty so this one would be perfect! I agree about the glue. The frosting never quite does the trick.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Kids will surely loved that one.. :)

That is just really a neat twist on a gingerbread house!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! Kiddo and I really appreciate the tip on glueing the house before decorating. We'll definitely be putting that into practice this season! :)
ReplyDeleteCute! Can you believe I've never made a gingerbread house before?!
