Over the Summer when we went camping, we met a cool duck. He was a pretty friendly duck.
He would come around the beach a couple of times a day. And he would get pretty close to you. Usually looking for food.
I heard the lifeguards call him, "Charlie."
I have no idea what kind of duck this is. To me he is an odd duck. I kinda now somewhat about birds, but this is a new one to me. Anyone have any idea what kind of duck this is?
Anyway, here's Charlie. Of course when I finally got around to get his picture he wasn't being very cooperative:

I believe that is the strangest looking duck I have ever seen!
ReplyDeletehe is a muscovy duck. they are a domestic breed that often turns wild as they can fly quite well. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info! I googled that and it is that. I had no idea - tyvm :)
DeleteGreat shots of a fascinating duck ~ carol, ^_^
ReplyDeleteHe's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteAwww, he's so cute.
ReplyDeleteI've seen those! I always thought they were swans before they turned. You know the story of the Ugly Duckling becoming a swan? Looks like I'm wrong!
ReplyDeleteHe almost looks like a turkey duck!
