We "had" a Hostess/Wonder Bread store up the street from us. In record time they closed up shop. Literally within a week of hostess saying they were claiming bankruptcy, this place closed up.
My daughter took these pictures while we drove by the other day. I want this sign, It reminds me of something the guys form "American Pickers" would want.
But don't despair, because Hostess and Wonder bread are being bought, I guess by some other companies.

Lol! It does look like a sign the guys form "American Pickers" would want. :)
ReplyDeleteI do like this sign though. It would be cool to have. And Those Pickers are always looking for signs if they aren't making these anymore maybe they would want this -lol
DeleteThat's so sad!
ReplyDeleteOh my...I used to live on the same street as a Weston bread factory once. I love the smell of carbs in the morning..... ha!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad sight. That looks like the store near me.
ReplyDeleteOh, booo, that is a shame.
ReplyDeleteI miss our Hostess store! We shopped there every week.
ReplyDeleteThe closing of Hostess was so sad. I hope whoever buys them will bring back all my favorites. My fear is that they'll only choose a few and I won't get my Zingers back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your sad photo. Stopping by from SITS.
I used to love going to Hostess. I really hadnt been going for quite some time though, so I'm not sure if I'll feel the loss as much. I do love the products though!
ReplyDeleteI think I have only been to a place like that once. I'm guessing that one is closed too. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm not really that sad about it. I really only went there maybe 4 times since I've lived here. I mostly did like the prices on the bread, but just to go there for that wasn't worth it really. - lol
ReplyDeleteJust think it was interesting how they didn't waste anytime closing this place.
Very sad. I miss Twinkies.
ReplyDeleteThat is sad. There was a Wonder Bread store in the town next to the one I grew up in. I actually didn't think about it until I read your post, but I bet it's closed as well now.
