Last month we almost sold this:
I had it on Craigslist and had a lot of interest in it. We had some offers. I began to doubt my decision. My daughter didn't want to sell it. We decided to pull the plug on all of this.
And we decided to go camping for the first time in 2 yrs. instead.
The campground had an archery class. The kids loved it:
My son said he did it a few yrs ago in gym class, it was my daughter's first time. An hour or so later she actually got a bulls eye! (can you see it?)
rented a boat:

Although I could definitely use the money I would have received from selling this, I'm glad we decided to just go camping instead!
how fun!!! good for you!
ReplyDeleteSometimes experiences are worth more than money... sounds like you made a good decision not to sell. The archery looks fun! I took an archery class in school and have always wanted to give it another try. And great archer heroines in movies these days too....
ReplyDeleteexactly - they said archery is getting popular again, probably due to Hunger Games, and the like
DeleteThat worked out perfectly then. I'm glad you kept it for now!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun! Sometimes things are just meant to be!
ReplyDeleteWe love camping too! Happy SITS Day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you made the right choice.
ReplyDeleteCamping is great. We try to do a family camping every year in September. Missed it last year but plans are already afoot.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been camping with the family.I have two kids that don't necessarily care for bugs and the outdoors. How do I get them to go?

We have gone camping ever since they were 2 years old each. So I guess they grew up with it. People always worry about the bugs - but you see just as many or more in your own back yard.
DeleteNow trying to get a 16 year old almost 17 year old son to go camping this summer might be a different story - lol
My husband is teaching my nine year old daughter archery! She loves it!!
ReplyDeletemy daughter loved it too, and wanted a bow & arrow, but they are so expensive or the ones we were looking at anyway.
DeleteThat looks like so much fun! Glad you decided to keep it! Camping is a great family activity. Now you can plan to do it more often!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great trip! Even though we have all of the gear (my husband registered for it at REI when we got married), we have yet to go camping! I'm hoping to go this Summer! Happy SITS Day!
