This is a cake my daughter and I made for Valentine's Day. It is a strawberry cake - with pink vanilla funfetti frosting, shaped like a HEART!

This really takes me back and makes me smile! My brother and I are 10 days less than a year apart. My birthday is Feb. 18; his is the following year on Feb. 8th. Growing up our family didn't yet have much money, so, though we each got our own set of presents, we shared a joint Valentine's/Birthday party--usually with a heart-shaped cake.
