WW #154 Family!

Apologizing again for lack of posting here. I'm moving a week from tomorrow.

Here's a variety of pics - I may not be able to post again for a week or more.

My daughter's dance recital was this past Saturday:

We had a couple of cookouts/son's birthday party with family before we move:

I will post some pictures of my "new" house when I get there. May be "off line" now for at least a week. Or at least on my blog.  I'm going to miss my family (mother, sisters, etc) like crazy.

Thanks for visiting!

Monte Carlo - Must See Movie

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Monte Carlo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you seen the commercials for a new movie coming out? The movie is called Monte Carlo. I was just watching the movie trailer. This looks like a really good movie. Watch the movie trailer and see what you think.

The movie stars Selena Gomez and the basic idea is she goes to Paris with two other girls. Then I guess she looks like a famous heiress. Somehow they switch places. And her and her friends get to have this awesome trip - staying in an awesome hotel and meeting cute guys. And I'm sure a lot of other fun stuff happens too.

The movie will be in theaters this Friday! -  July 1st -  Oh yea! You can also purchase tickets ahead of time. Starting on 6/29 you can buy them on Fandango. Check it out and do that to see this really fun movie. I may be doing that, because my daughter already has been talking about seeing this movie. We have seen several commercials for it, and she really wants to see this movie.

One reason being she is a huge Selena Gomez fan. She loves everything else she does, so she really would love to see Monte Carlo. If you want more info on the movie then you should also 'Like' the official Monte Carlo Facebook page!

Bear Bottle Opener Keychain Review

Hey guys another really quick review for you. I'm swamped right now with all the moving plans and stuff I've got going on. About 3 weeks until I move. So I have been trying to tie up some loose ends on here.

I received a really cute keychain recently. My daughter likes to collect keychains so right now she actually has this attached to her backpack.
But this is also a multi-functional keychain. It's also a bottle opener keychain

Now I'm not really much of a drinker these days. But If and when I ever want a beer. I especially love Corona. And those are not twist off, you need a bottle opener for them. Well the other day my husband brought some home, along with the limes of course. And we were digging around for a bottle opener. When I remembered this cute little bear keychain. I got it off my daughter's backpack and viola - problem solved! Too Cute!

More About Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Pharmacist Advertisement

I think I did a few posts in the past about Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products. Does anyone remember that?

Well I know I received a sample a few months ago for one of their products and then I wrote a post on it. The product was  Walgreens Brand Oil-Free Acne Wash. This product was for my son. He will be 15 next month, and has a little bit of an acne problem.

Here is picture of the product my son has been using:

I think this has been successful in helping to treat the acne on his face. I also like the fact that it is a great price. Compared to name brand products this is really a great savings.

Another thing I want to let you know about is the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™.  This program supports bringing preventative wellness services to local communities. Walgreens contributes up to $3 million annually to the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™. They will provide free tests and other health services and education to communities. Visit website for more information.

Also one last thing you may want to know about is that several bloggers are having giveaways. They are giving away some Walgreens Gift Cards, so visit them and enter today!

flipflop Wine Review

Hi all! Sorry for lack of a lot of stuff here on my blog. I've got to try to catch up on some reviews and stuff!  But been swamped with my big move coming in July.

But with the stress of moving there is nothing like a good glass of wine. Am I right? So when I received an email  for my husband and I to sample some wine. I said "Heck ya."

So I received 3 bottles of  flipflop wine. A bottle of the Pinot Noir, Riesling, and a Pinot Grigio. My husband and I pretty much drank the first two bottles already, and right now I am  working on the last one which is the Riesling.

The wines are really tasty. I am no wine expert by any means, but I know what I like. And what I've sampled of the flipflop wines so far I really enjoyed. I also like the price on these wines. I checked out the prices at my local store, and I saw them for $6.99 a bottle. Sounds good to me!

The other thing that is really cool about these wines is that, flipflop wines has partnered with Soles4Souls Inc., the international shoe charity dedicated to providing free footwear to those in need. The program will raise much needed funds to give one pair of flip-flop sandals for each bottle of flipflop wine purchased (up to 100,000 pairs for the first 100,000 bottles sold, where promotion is legal. To learn more about Soles4Souls, please visithttp://www.soles4souls.org/.

Connect with flipflop wines:

  1. Visit the website
  2. Like them on Faceboook

Disclaimer: I received 3 bottles of flipflop wine to sample to write this review. No other compensation was given & my opinions are my own. Yours may differ.

Swap.com

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CarlSwap for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey everyone. Have you ever heard of Swap.com? Well I actually found out about it awhile ago. I love books and so does my daughter, but I don't want to pay full price for them. So I was doing some research on a way to get some books, and I came across the website Swap.com.

Here's some information on Swap.com. They are creating the world's largest swap market. Through online swapping of books, movies, music and video games, or local swapping of just about anything else, Swap.com has a large community of swappers.

I just found out too that they have a great program for schools called Swap4Schools. This is designed to get books donated to US public schools. Any public school educator can create a free account, build a Wish list, and other members can donate to them instead of swap. So far over 6,000 items have been donated!

What I did so far was create a wish list of stuff I want, then I add a list of things that I want. And Swap.com will match me up and make a trade happen. It's really cool. Please check it out for yourself. Also check out Swap4Schools, their local swap events, local swapping pages,  and they even have an iPhone app!

Cryo Cell - Enroll Today!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey guys, I know you must remember many of my other previous posts, that I have done on the company Cryo-Cell.  If not I will try to give you a brief synopsis on what the company does.

Since 1992, Cryo Cell has helped 230,000 clients worldwide preserve their newborn's umbilical cord blood. These cells have the potential to be used against many diseases. Cryo-cell is also working on research that will find solutions to preserve stem cells in a noncontroversial way.

I personally believe in the importance of stem cell research. I just recently saw a piece on the news about the advances in stem cells. It was about a young man who was paralyzed in a car accident a few years ago. And he has been given some stem cells to help regenerate cells in his legs. They are still waiting for the results of this. But I think it is amazing what stem cells may be able to do.

Cryo Cell is helping to pioneer research in this field. And although I don't think they were involved in the case just mentioned. It is great they are providing research in preserving stem cells that could help people in situations like that.

As a new mom - Cryo-Cell is going to help moms stay fit. If you enroll today Cryo-Cell will give new members an award winning stroller. You will receive a "Baby Jogger City Mini stroller." So this is a great time to join Cryo-Cell. Enroll Today!

Cool Stuff Every Kid Should Know Book Review

Boston and the State of Massachusetts:: Cool Stuff Every Kid Should Know (Arcadia Kids)

With Memorial Day over, it's time to start thinking about Summer. And I don't know about you but this time of year makes me want to go on some family trips.

Well, I just received a book called: Boston and the State of Massachusetts:: Cool Stuff Every Kid Should Know (Arcadia Kids).

In this book you will find: HOW one Boston building provides a daily weather forecast?

(Hint: If you know the poem you can crack the code!)

WHAT popular spot in the city was once used for such

things as livestock grazing and public hangings?

(Hint: It's been public property for a long time!)

You can find these answers and more in this book.

My husband and I grew up in Massachusetts and have been to many of the sites in the book. Like the Swan boats and Faneuil Hall and more, but one place my husband noticed in the book he never went to (even though he lived not to far from it) is Castle Island which has a cool fort called Fort Independence built during the Revolutionary war.

This book has lots of information like the state bird, great museums to visit and lots more. This is great for kids and the whole family, with lots of colorful pictures! And the good news is there are books on 22 U.S. Cities so you may find one for your state!

Buy it:  Boston and the State of Massachusetts:: Cool Stuff Every Kid Should Know can be purchased at Amazon.com or at Arcadia.com. The publisher is offering a special 20% discount for consumers who purchase Arcadia Kids books at the Arcadia site. Enter the code "COOL" at checkout to receive the discount.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of the above book to review. No monetary compensation was given, and the opinions are solely my own.

WW "Reasons to Like the Beach"

  1. First day this year at beach (lake) - cost of gas, food, etc. - at least $30
  2. lost 2 pairs of swimming goggles - $50 (for some reason bought the real expensive kind a couple of years ago)
  3. Husband getting terrible sunburn  - even though he gobbed himself with sunscreen - no price on that
  4. Spending time with family at beach and having fun  - priceless (I think)

remind me why I like going? put some "shirts" on guys - which maybe they should be really wearing to keep out sun. I think this is them looking for goggles, which the first time it happened they found them. second time lost both prs. on bottom of lake.
