My daughter was in a production of "The Wizard of Oz" last week. The drama club made up of 4th and 5th graders at her school worked hard on this play for over 3 months. Last Thursday they put on the play at the High School. It was really good. And my daughter really enjoyed doing it.
Her main part was a "manicurist." You know the scene where they spiffy Dorothy, lion, etc up before they meet the Wizard? She also got to be a Munchkin and a Citizen of Emerald City.
I didn't really get any pictures because - was to hard to get during the play. But they also video taped it, and I'll be getting a copy of that.
Here is a "head shot" of her though. They took shots of the kids and lined up the walls with them, as you went into the auditorium.

What a great experience for her!
ReplyDeleteNice one. Theaters are good for kids, help in boosting their confidence and learning camaraderie being on a team.
ReplyDeletePretty kid you got there. Good luck for more plays.
Cheers :)
Now I remember the film Diary of a wimpy kid 1. Is there an apple fight on the play?hehe. That was the most inr=teresting part of all...hehe..
