My Take on the Book: 

Wow! I can totally relate to this book. Being the mother of one daughter and one son, I can see how raising a daughter is totally different. 

I have seen in my own relationship with my daughter how she probably gets away with more than my son. And that she is definitely treated differently. I can really understand what Susan Shapiro Barash is talking about when she talks about avoiding confrontation! Been there done that.

But with my daughter fast approaching the teen years, I really want to try to change our behavior. I think this book will really come in handy for ideas with that. And will be a great resource in the future!
