Field Trips For All
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.
Remember all those great field trips you took as a kid? I used to go love to go to the Science Museum. My kids love going on field trips too. My daughter is actually going on one next week. They are going to a historical building around here, which is a one room school house. Very educational.
Field trips have always been an important part of school. They provide hands-on experiences to kids and can help them engage in learning outside of the classroom. Unfortunately in a recent report from The American Association of School Administrators, it’s estimated that over the course of the current school year, the number of school districts eliminating field trips will increase by 56 percent. That’s more than 30,000 schools. Wow, that is a lot. That is so sad that so many kids are going to miss out on these field trips.
Well now I just heard of a great initiative from Lunchables. Called "Field Trips For All" The Lunchables Team and Project Potential is empowering kids with opportunities to help them reach their full potential. They are providing enriching experiences to kids that may not be able to have them otherwise.
They are sponsoring a contest in which anyone 6 years of age or older can nominate a deserving classroom by going to http://www.lunchables.com/potential/ and submitting a nomination. From all nominations received, 50 classrooms will be selected to go on an inspiring, educational experience. Just like the one in the video below:
Go to the website and nominate a classroom of your choice. Who would you nominate?
My son loves field trips too. That is a wonderful opportunity for kids from lunchables! Great post!
