An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
My question: Do you get a lot of solicitors/salespeople coming to your door?
My answer: Yes. Especially starting this time of year. I have lived where I am now a little over 10 years and we get people trying to sell us stuff. I have never lived somewhere ever before where this has happened so much. I get people trying to sell me everything from magazines, rug cleaning, coupons to restaurants, etc, etc. It is weird too, since I live in a suburban type neighborhood. It is most annoying! I don't answer the door anymore if I can help it.

Happy Friday! I am only home on Mondays right now, but I randomly get a salesperson. The one guy who continually comes to my door is this energy savings guy. He doesn't understand the meaning of no.

We live in a rural area so the answer to that is no, except for an occasional person selling steaks out of the freezer in the back of their truck. Which is only about once every 2-3 months. Thank goodness.

Actually, no, almost never. Sometimes school kids come selling things for their school programs but even that doesn't happen frequently.

ReplyDeleteI've not had anyone come door to door since I've lived here (about 3 years) but we do get people calling us all the time, so now don't answer the land line at all and just let the voice mail get it!

ReplyDeleteI am happy to report that I rarely get strangers at the door - unless it's been snowing. Then I'll get people offering to plow up my driveway which actually came in handy one time. :) Thanks for stopping by! :)

No, we do not usually get a lot of people here. In the summer we may get students or people trying to sell things. The fall for election season is when we get a lot of politicians going around.
