An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
My question: Are there any commercials you really dislike? What are they & why?
My answer: There are many. But lately it is all the Christmas commercials. And my reason is that my daughter still believes and Santa and all these commercials - like Target & Walmart ones - are implying that the parents are buying the presents. My daughter keeps saying "But Santa buys the presents." I really wish they would consider this when they make these commercials!
I agree about the commercials implying that the parents buy the gifts, My 7 year old and 4 year old believe in Santa, and I have to deal with a few "But Santa makes them Right?" I can't pick one commercial in particular that I dislike.. I am not a fan of commercials at all.. Have a great Day!

I hardly watch commercials, I love to fast forward through them.
ReplyDeleteI have seen the ones you are talking about and was not impressed. My son figured it out a couple weeks ago, but it was because one of his friends found their presents and they discussed it on the bus. It was sad to have to tell him the truth.
I don't see much t.v. but agree with you of that kind of commercials.

I generally dislike Victoria Secret and lingerie commercials. Very tacky and not for teenage boys in the house.

ReplyDeleteMy most disliked? Having to sit there with my kids while those STUPID KY Jelly commercials are on. OMG!
Commercials I hate? The ones that have an increased volume... so you have the show on a regular level and then all of the sudden you are rocked off of the couch with someone yelling at you.

I don't really like commercials at all. I really can't stand the Victoria Secret commercials.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I really dislike the new holiday ads for Best Buy. The ones where employees are singing reworded christmas carols! Really don't care for that.
