We went on a walk at a place called "Wildlife Pond." Which is very aptly named, since we saw some snakes, turtles, frogs and lots of birds.
Here is a Tree Swallow that landed on top of this bird house. We thought it would fly off when if we got too close. But we kept getting closer and it just sat there for quite awhile. Enough for me to get some pictures at least.
I love taking pictures of the critters in the wild...my kids really get a kick out of going through those pictures and telling their own version of the stories.
ReplyDeleteLucky you. The swallow stayed long enough for you to take photos when they usually fly away when someone approaches. Happy for you. Great captures!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend! :)
What a fun walk - we would have enjoyed it too! Nice shots - we're surprised the birdie didn't fly away. They usually do when we're around, but that might something to do with the fact that we're usually woofing at them....he he! Tail wags - JD and Max.
