Aloha Friday #2


An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question: Do you buy books at the book store or do you get them out at the library?

My answer: I very rarely buy books. I get a lot of books from my mother after she reads them. And then the rest I get at the library. And I get books for the kids at the library too.

    We are constantly going to the library. I will request books that I know we want online and pick them up, or we go in to browse for books, CDs and DVDs. If we buy books it is usually from the Scholastic book fair or order forms that come home with the kids.

    I like to buy books, but I also love library. And I'm downloading free books from internet sites also.

    I buy books when I am on trips, and I have already read the books I brought. I buy books for my daughter, but we also use the library.

    I do both.

    Our library doesn't have enough to satisfy out tastes and some books I just have to get as soon as they come out.

    I use the library heavily, but as homeschoolers, we buy lots of books for teh kids education, then there are some must-haves.

    I love to buy books but I'm trying to use the library more. I love to reread though so my books I usually buy.

    I use to buy and will still buy the kids favorites but most of the time we get them at the library. Even when I want to read something I get it at the library.

    We go to the library a lot, but we also buy books. Generally when we buy books, we do so online at half.com or amazon...their prices are generally better!

    I buy books because we are nowhere near a library. And it got to be cheaper to buy them then "rent" them from the library! I paid alot of overdue fees. We belong to a church with a great library but I still like to buy books, read them, mark them up, and pass them along.
