My daughter got it into her head to have a "Lemonade Stand" (which by the way she actually was selling Fruit Punch.) Mostly because the kids down the street had one.
So for three days she sat out there for a few hours each day. Economic times must have even hit "Lemonade Stands", because she only made about $2.25. And at least one dollar of that came from us. Oh well, she had fun, I guess.
The Lemonade Stand maybe closed for business.

I think she needs to rethink her business strategy. Kudos for persistence.
ReplyDeleteWhat dedication!
ReplyDeleteHaving fun is the most important part! :) And it was a great lesson in entreprenuership too! My WW
ReplyDeleteMaybe she needs a blog:-) Hee, hee, hee.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear she enjoyed herself despite the lack of customers. My kids are always trying to come up w/ ways to make money.
ReplyDeleteIt's like casual Friday at work!
ReplyDeleteLooks like my kind of job. Just bring out a laptop and I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteyou could have a yard sale! that would bring in some fruit punch customers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little entrepreneur. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd always wanted to have a lemonade stand when I was a kid.
My girls beg me to do this every summer and if I happen to be having a yard sale they insist that they sell Lemonade!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI like your post. Awh, the thought of making money! Your daughter looks so proud of herself. 3 days with her business, that was a serious little entrepreneur. Good for her and as long as she had fun, that's what matters also. :-)
She really looks professional, lol ! Very cute !
ReplyDeleteGreat entrepreneur! Good for her.
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute. I guess the kids are learning how tough work is early these days. lol. $2.25 isn't so bad though.!
ReplyDeleteLooks like she had a great time anyway!
ReplyDeletemaybe mom should review her lemonade stand for some extra advertising LOL
ReplyDeleteMr. Linky is doing stange thing to me today too.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pictures of such a lovely young lady. I am sorry she didn't have good luck.
ReplyDeleteAww, how cute!
ReplyDeleteLooks like she still had fun, even if there wasn't a lot of business!
ReplyDelete:) I remember all the xcitment to having a lemonade stand then the disappointment when I didn't sell any! lol! It was always fun though! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a trooper!!!!! I'm sure when summer comes, she'll make alot more mula!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully she had a good time. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteThat's about how much my son made at his "toy sale" last year LOL. As long as they have fun and learn a bit while they're at it it's all good.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Good for her!
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago, my moms group hosted a lemonade stand for Alex's Lemonade Stand, a non-profit org for cancer research. You should look into that since your daughter has an interest in this type of thing.

So cute! I remember my daughter and her friends doing this and I was always surprised at the # of people that would stop. Of course, her friends lived on a corner lot and got quite a bit of traffic, that certainly helped! I admire our kids for taking the initiative to set up their own business. :-D
ReplyDeletewow! that's a great attitude^-^ at least, she had some goals:))
ReplyDeleteAs a kid, the anticipation of all the money you'd make and what you'd buy with it was part of the fun! Yet you were always left wishing you made more!
ReplyDeleteI missed lemonade stand. My kids can't do this though since we live by the main road:(
ReplyDeleteAt least she got some sales experience under her belt!
ReplyDeleteHee! Hee! $2.25 isn't bad for a first attempt ;)
ReplyDeletei have always wanted to buy off a stand. we dont do anything like that over here :( hope she had fun
ReplyDeleteHow fun. Atleast she left with something for her hard work :o)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW from Sara @ the Mostly Wordless Wednesday H.Q.!
I remember doing that when I was a kid! Good for her for sticking with it :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!! good for her!
ReplyDeleteLove the umbrella! That's great that she's ambitious already, and that she stuck with it for 3 days! Good for her!
ReplyDeleteMmmm...fruit punch sounds good! I would have stopped by for some! :-)
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she had a wonderful time. My little girl has always wanted to do that but we live on the highway. So I told her instead we would have a garage sale. Thanks for coming by!
ReplyDeleteMaybe business will pick up when it gets hotter?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WW. :-)
she's such a cutie. you're lucky to have a business minded daughter.
ReplyDeleteReally cute!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Three days... She is off to a great start in business.. Patience is the key... Love her extra fruity smile.. hehee
ReplyDeleteTOO CUTE! But you're right..all that matters is that she had a good time!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love lemonade stands! A magical WW to you!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like quite the entrepreneur!
ReplyDeleteI hope she had fun with it!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. My boys are always telling me they want to set up a lemonade stand too. But in my mind I'm thinking it's a waste of time because we live in a cul-de-sac and nobody would buy it. I think they have more confidence than me.
ReplyDeleteat least she's trying to earn for her own! a future businesswoman!
ReplyDeleteSue,
ReplyDeleteYou should be proud. I see a budding entrepreneur.
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteMe again, I really enjoyed reading all these cool comments people left you. AWESOME! :-)
