Computer Problems

Crap & Double Crap! Something is wrong with my computer! Since about 3 PM yesterday my computer is not working right. The whole thing crashed yesterday. I tried to get it going again for about 5 hours and finally gave up.

This morning when I turned it on I was hoping for a miracle. But something is still wrong. It's not the lcd monitor. I know how to use computers, but know nothing of the technical side of it. But I think it's the "Processor." It doesn't seem to be running right. I have no idea how to fix it!

It is taking all I can just to get this post written. And to top it all off, ever since yesterday I'm getting these annoying pop-ups! I went to the thing were you block them, but they still keep coming up. I don't know how to stop them.

Crap, Crap & Double Crap!!!!

  1. I just read something about pop ups yesterday. I will find it again and email it to you.

  2. If you can, go to www.help2go.com and follow their instructions for spyware and malware issues. They are the best I have ever seen for help with that sort of thing and they are completely free. They'll even answer questions for you and tell you exactly how to remove something if needed. Really really helpful site.

  5. Most computers have a back-up thing.

On mine you go to start>programs>accesories>system tools>system restore

It is a really easy to use program. You can restore to a certain date or you can restore back to factory settings.

Restoring to a date will usually work. It just removes any software installed between now and then.

Restoring to factory setting means to save all your picutres files blah and you'll have to re-install all software you have installed since you got the computer. BIG HASSELL , but also it is like getting a brand new computer (way cheaper though)

  6. Definitely sounds like you got something attached to your computer. Can you do a virus and spyware sweep?

  7. My fiancee is a technical guru and owns a business in town where he does computer repair, builds computer, and does technical support. I read this blog to him and he said, though he does not agree with the over charging the Geek Squad does, "She needs to take it to the Geek Squad or someone else in town. It sounds more like a Motherboard issue. If it is her Motherboard or Processor her hard drive should be safe, but it could damage it. So, to not lose everything, she needs to take it in as soon as possible."

  8. Hi Sue,

Sorry to hear about your Computer problem(s).

I have just helped Laura from Junkfoodaholic.com to fix her Computer ills (which weren't hardware issues).

I don't think that it is the Computer's Processor or hardware at fault. 'Cos if it is, you would not even have gotten as far as having made that last Post at your Blog and regrettably you could say Hallelujah to your present Computer if it was the Processor or a serious hardware issue.

Here is where you can find the solutions to your present problems. Go to this link and download the programs, install them on your Computer and run them immmediately. I just hope that your Computer will "stay" running long enough for the jobs to be completed.

Worst scenario: You Computer fails to keep running long enough for you to download, install and clean up. I hope not or you may have to seek

    Here then is the link:

    p.s.

I own and run a Computer business for over 15 years.
