(my daughter learned to ride without training wheels last summer. She got this bike for her birthday in February, which is a lot bigger then the one she had before. This is her first ride on it!)
Doesn't that just put a lump in your throat? A bigger bike today ... a car tomorrow. *sigh* I remember those days. It looks like she's doing a great job! And I love her bike!
One of their first tastes of independence is being able to ride away from us unfettered by training wheels. They always know just how far to go before coming back to safety!
Thank God for cameras. It's great to be able to have a photo for things like these. My oldest son is not interested at all in riding without his training wheels. When I was a kid, bike riding was one of my favorite hobbies. It's a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, I remember those days. Now I'm getting ready to purchase the kids real divers license no more permit and driving with mom and dad, so scary. Guess every stage of their lives we let go a little more. cherish those pictures!
Hi Sue, Cute pictures, I like her new bike & picture #4 bike trail road. I still remember trying to learn how to ride my bike, it wasn't easy for me at first. She will have lots of fun this summer! :-)
well looks like shes on her way to the big times bike today car tomorrow i remember when i was a kid i actually built my first bike out of some parts i got from different friends i built me a chopper first time on it my front brake fell off into the spokes and fliped me but after a long hot bath and treating my wounds i got back on it and off i went
