Let's Make Easter Eggs
Every year my kids like to decorate Easter eggs, especially my daughter. I buy the eggs and supplies you need to make them. And my husband boils the eggs, because I am no good at doing that part! And the kids do the decorating.
One thing you should remember when making the eggs, is to add some vinegar then the dye, it makes the colors come out brighter. Another thing I learned from doing them last year was to buy these plastic containers for the dying - see picture above. Because last year I ended up having to throw away some of my bowls, because the dye wouldn't come out!
It's a great activity to do with the kids, and a great tradition to do every Easter. I guess we'll be eating hard boiled eggs, deviled eggs, or egg salad for a while. Hope every one has a Happy Easter!

Coloring Easter Eggs was a family tradition for years at our house. The kids loved it. Ours are older now, so we haven't done it in several years. But we have many fond memories! Maybe I'll invite my nephews over to do some coloring and have an Easter Egg hunt! Thanks for reviving some great memories!
ReplyDeleteCool way of some quality bonding time with the kids.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a blessed Easter Sunday!!
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteLooks like your kids are really having fun.
By the way, with regards to eating eggs, I think it would be best if you and your husband limit your intake of eggs to at most 2 eggs per day. More than that could have an impact on your cholesterol level.
Happy Easter!
Those are wonderful bonding experiences with your kids. Make you all closer as a family. Happy Easter to you all. God bless.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your comments. Hope you all had a nice Easter. We just got back from "Grammy's" house. We also had an egg hunt were the kids searched around for plastic eggs. It was lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you have a traditional Easter activity with your children, from what I can see in the picture, they look like they're right into it.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, This is what life is all about. Enjoy each moment! I like your new picture of you & your new blog header. It looks nice. I also like butterfly, they are so pretty to look at. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks rvdavid and robin,
ReplyDeleteThe kids love all the Easter activities. Also thanks Robin, I figured what the heck, I should use my real picture. And I wanted something different for the header. I love butterflies too :D
